At Grandma's yesterday, we were getting lunch ready and I asked Mason what he wanted to drink. He said "umm... proby just Diet Coke." He got milk instead.

New Quilts

A few weeks ago we went down to my grandma's house and we all tied a quilt for Mason. My grandma stitched up the edges by hand. I took the quilt frame home with me and tied a king size quilt for our bed. Yesterday we went back down to grandma's so she could show me how to hand stitch the edges. I got about two inches done in an hour. I did the math and figured winter would be over by the time I finished, so I called Allison and had her bring her sewing machine over and we had the whole thing done in half an hour. Thank goodness for modern technology.

Mommy's Little Helper

Mason helped me make pizza last night. He mostly just ate the cheese. He loves to help in the kitchen, even though it ends up being more work for mom.

Peyton has started rolling over. If she is on her tummy she will flip onto her back. If she's on her back she will turn to her tummy, then usually flip right back over. Here she is in mid flip.

Daddy's Home!

Daddy came home from Sacramento and brought me Lightning McQueen slippers! I love them. I slide around on the tile making vrooming noises and hit my feet together to make the cars crash. I probably won't take them off for days.

Zach is leaving on a business trip today and I'll have both kids by myself for four days. Pray for me, I might be insane by Thursday. We'll miss you Daddy!

Future Business Man

Since we moved the computer into our room Mason has had trouble leaving it alone. This morning before church I caught him at the desk and asked him what he was doing and he said "just pushing buttons Mom, leemelone."

Monumental Day

Peyton was sleeping in a bassinet in our room. A few days ago we moved all of Zach's office stuff into our room so we could set up her crib and she could have her own room. She's been having some trouble adjusting. This is the first time she fell asleep by herself in her new crib. This is a big day for her! Doesn't she look kind of uncomfortable with her head turned like that?

Party Time

Mason went to his friend Drayden's third birthday party yesterday. It was a Spiderman party with a Bob the Builder cake. They had a castle bounce house. Mason had a blast.

Smiley Girl

Whenever you smile at Peyton, she will almost always smile back. When she's happy she is really happy, but when she's mad, watch out!

Little Sister Arrives

On June 19th, 2007 at 9:21 pm, Peyton Allison Leak was born. She weighed 8 lbs 4 oz and was 21 inches long. Mason welcomed her by giving her a lamb he built for her at Build a Bear Workshop. The day after she came home from the hospital he asked me, "she go home now?" He is still adjusting to not being in the spotlight anymore.
