I was bathing Mason the other day and I was going to put Peyton in the baby tub when Mason was done. She was not very patient though. She was pulling herself up to standing but then she was leaning over trying to touch the water and almost pulled herself into the tub. I decided to just put her in with Mason. She was beyond excited. It was like a whole new world to her not to be in the baby tub.

The other day it was warm enough for us to go to the park. Peyton went on a swing for the very first time. She sat so still the whole time, she seemed so relaxed.

Denver Children's Museum

Peyton was not amused that she had to sit in the stroller most of the time. We didn't find the baby play area till the end.

Last weekend we went to the Denver Children's Museum. They had a lot of great activities. It was perfect for Mason because it was the kind of place you could run around and do whatever you want. He really liked the fire engine. They even had a special place for babies to play. It was a big plush "pond" with lily pads and stuffed frogs etc that Peyton could crawl around on.

Look what I can do!

I was talking to my dad the other day on the phone, Peyton was playing on the floor. I look over and this is what she is doing. What!? I couldn't believe it. She wasn't even holding on to the side of the toy bin, she was reaching inside to get a book. She pulled herself up all by herself. She is so tiny still but she's stronger than she looks.

Mason is Loving Denver

Hat hair.
Would you like some hot chocolate with your marshmallows?

Mason is loving life here in Denver. He loves to play out in the snow, he is not fazed by the cold at all. He'll play outside until I force him to come in side. Then he insists on having "hot shockolit" Which is really just chocolate milk because he rarely wants me to warm it up. Him and Pogi the weiner dog have become pals. Mason says they are best friends but I'm not sure Pogi feels the same way. If you are wondering why Mason is wearing the same jammies in both the pictures its because they are new and he literally refused to take them off for days after we got them. The only way I got him to get dressed is by taking him to the McDonalds playland. He thinks they are a real race car driver's uniform. He calls them his racing suit.

Worst Valentine's Day Ever

It was going to be a pretty good day. Zach was going to get off work early and we were going to go out to a nice restaurant. Jeanne was going to watch the kids for us. Zach leaves for work at 7:30 and at 7:35 he calls and says he slid off the road over a curb. The wheel is bent at an angle and he can't move the car. Great. I miss California right now. So he calls a tow truck and as he is waiting for the truck he watches about 15 other people do the exact same thing as him. Luckily he wasn't hit by anyone else or injured. But it cost us $1800 to fix it!! AAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGHH! There goes the romantic Valentine dinner. On a positive note I am grateful we actually had the money to pay cash for the repairs. Zach is not injured and I did get flowers. We celebrated by ordering pizza and watching Aristocats with Mason. I guess it could have been worse, right?

Rocky Mountain High: John Denver

Here is some Colorado mood music.

We're Here!!!

Well we are officially Denvites. We rolled into town with the moving van on Sunday and unpacked everything into a local storage unit until we find a place of our own. My parents have been so great letting us take over their home. I start my new job with Xerox on Monday. We are very sad to leave all of our friends and family in California but are excited about this new chapter in our lives. Here are some pictures of our moving van. Mason was pretty bummed about not riding in the truck with Daddy and Grandpa. Click on the video above for some nice Colorado mood music.
