Mason started his second year of preschool on Monday. He has the same teacher he had last year. The big difference is now he gets to ride his bike to school with no training wheels. Next year is going to be crazy because Peyton will start preschool and Mason will be in kindergarten.

He Likes to Ride His Bicycle!

Well I got a very interesting call the other day from Meredith. It went something like this..."Your son has a big surprise for you when you get home." Turned out he can ride his bike without training wheels! A lot better surprise than what I had in mind (paint on walls, broken bones, poop/pee accident in prominent place, vomit in prominent place). Apparently his friend left his bike outside and Mason jumped on and rode it back to his house and has not looked back since. It's like the midget bike mafia gang has attacked our neighborhood since Mason and his friends all have little bikes they ride around together. It's pretty cute.

Thank You Allison and Paul!!!

Thank you for the awesome slip and slide, the kids love it. Mason's got the hang of it but Peyton just walks daintily down to the end then sits down in the water. Whenever I set it up, the neighborhood kids magically show up in swimsuits like moths to a flame. I suppose that's good that Peyton is taking it so slow so we don't have one of these on our hands

This looks just like Peyton, where did you find this picture Allison? Thank goodness Peyton is not as brave as this poor girl.

Peyton's Trip to the Emergency Room

So we had a fun night last night at the ER. We were playing outside at Grandma's house and Peyton comes up to me and says "wock my nose...ow" So I look inside and sure enough, she had shoved a pebble up her nose. We tried to get her to blow it out by plugging one nostril and telling her to blow. But that didn't work because she doesn't know how to blow her nose, she kept sucking it further in. There is an urgent care physician in our ward, so I called him but he and his wife were out for the night. It was 7 pm on a Saturday so our only choice was the ER. The doctor says that this happens so often that there is a special tool invented just for removing objects from childrens noses. She totally lost her mind when we had to hold her down to remove it but they gave her a cup of apple juice with a straw right after so she recovered quickly. The rock was so much bigger than I thought it was. I was really surprised she actually fit it up her tiny button nose. It was kind of triangle shaped and about an inch long and a half inch wide at the top. I should have brought the rock home from the ER so I could take a picture but the doctor threw it away. She refuses to take off her hospital bracelet because its "pwetty."

Happy Birthday Peyton!

The festivities started on Friday with opening presents and cupcakes with the neighbor kids. Then on Saturday we took her to Build a Bear where she went into sensory overload but finally managed to pick out a puppy. She tried to stuff a handful of hearts into the puppy and just about peed her panties when the stuffing machine started but other than that it was a rousing success.

6 Year Anniversary

Zach and I decided to act like true Coloradoans for our anniversary. We went camping up by Estes Park. It was so beautiful. We saw a whole herd of elk grazing right behind our campground. We hiked up to Alberta Falls and Bear Lake, it was so gorgeous. Happy Anniversary Zachary!!

Freak Hail Storm

This was the craziest hail storm I have ever seen. It looked like it had snowed. The stupid hail killed all the new flowers I just planted. It tore a ton of leaves off our new baby trees. Our yard looks hammered right now, I hope it recovers somewhat.
