We are joining The Mile High Club

Just kidding.....we are moving to "the mile high city"...Denver! Zach accepted a job with Xerox. We will be living with his parents for a few months then we will be living near Lakewood. We are grateful to move to a place that is more affordable to live. But we are sooo sad to leave all the friends we've made here. It will be really sad to leave the family we have here too. Mason is going to miss his cousins and friends. Auntie Allison is pretty sad about it too. My sister in law that lives in Corona is expecting and I'm so sad I won't be here when the baby is born. But this is the best opportunity for our family and it will be really nice to live close by to Zach's parents.

Peyton's New Talent

She started doing this a few days ago and she does it all the time now. Its pretty funny. I can't believe she's already starting to disagree with me :) She's turning out to be just like Mason.

Happy Birthday to Mason!

Mason turned three on the 4th and we had a Lightning McQueen party for him. We invited a few of his friends and they all had a pretty good time.

Scary Dog Attack

So it was a really nice day so we all decided to go for a walk around our neighborhood. We are about three houses down from us when this huge mangy looking german sheperd comes running towards us barking and growling. I take off running with the stroller so it won't attack the kids and Zach stays behind and has to fight it off. It's hair was all standing up on end and it was really aggressive and lunging at him but Zach stood his ground, yelled at it and it backed down. We then went over to our friend Jenn's house so we didn't have to walk right back past it. We called animal control. But we had to get back to our house so Zach and Jenn's husband Cesar are out at the corner making sure it is far enough away for us to run to our house. As they are standing there the dog starts back toward Zach. Zach picks up a rock and pretends to throw it and the dog doesn't back down right away so he raises his arm really high to throw the rock and the dog finally backs down. When it was far enough away we make a run for our house but the dog sees us and starts toward us again. Cesar had given us a broom handle and as soon as Zach raises it in the air like he's going to hit him he backs down and we made it to the house. It was really freaky because the dog was so huge. We almost let Mason walk by himself but I'm so glad we had him in the stroller. I really think that it would have attacked him. We are so lucky none of us got bit. The above photo is obviously not of the real dog as we didn't want to get close enough to take a picture. Zach said that the dog was more aggressive than most of the strays he came across in Mexico and he was more worried about getting bit than he ever was on his mission. So scary!!

White Christmas

When we found that Santa had eaten the cookies we left for him.
Peyton opening her very first Christmas present. She mostly tried to eat the paper.
Dancing for joy on Christmas morning.

We spent ten days in Denver for Christmas and we had a really good time. Zach's parents just got a sweet hot tub and we spent a lot of time in it. Zach's entire family was there and it was fun hanging out with everyone. His little sister Allene got a Wii for Christmas so we had quite a few rounds of Mario Party and Wii Sports going on. I'm not very good. It snowed on Christmas day and Mason got to go sledding for the first time in his life. I thought for sure that he would be a wimp about it and want to go inside after two minutes. But he was the sledding champ. Even after falling face first into the snow he didn't even cry. He would just laugh all the way down the hill. He went a few times down the whole big hill on the sled with Zach. Then we let him go down by himself down the last half of the hill. I even went down a few times. We had to drag Mason inside crying because he would have died of hypothermia if we let him stay out as long as he wanted to.

New Teeth

Peyton started cutting her first tooth a few weeks ago and was doing fine with it. She was a little cranky but everything else was fine. Then while we were in Denver for Christmas she started cutting a second one and all hell broke loose. Just kidding she was actually a trooper but she did have a lot of trouble eating. She has been refusing bottles for days now. If she does eat its only one to two ounces. She only wants to eat if she is being spoon fed solid food. I'm actually starting to get worried because she is getting so little formula compared to what she used to eat and she didn't eat that much to begin with. At her six month check up she was only 13 lbs which is in the 10th percentile. The doctor wasn't worried but I am. I hope this passes quickly.

The Spa

Saturday was Allison's birthday so my mom took Allison, Debbie and I to Glen Ivy Day Spa in Corona. We got facials and sat in the mineral spas and did the mud baths. It was really relaxing and fun. Then we went out to dinner at Rosine's. I wish I brought my camera because it was pretty funny to see all of us caked in orange mud, we looked like aboriginees. You can see pictures of the spa at www.glenivy.com
